DANA'S BLOG - December 2008
DECEMBER 14, 2008
We planned to visit Sister Dorsey but we have a bunch of snow on the ground! Today I can work on my writing, since we can't go anywhere. At the end of this week, we are going out of town (and away from the computer) for 2 weeks, until the new year! Here is a photo of when she did an evangelistic service for us at Everlasting, the first time I met her, in 1990.

Sister Dorsey was asleep when we went to visit. We sang a few Christmas carols for her and the other patients, residents and workers, but she didn't wake up. We let her sleep. I really love her.

I visited Sister Dorsey again, and a friend arrived while I was there, and she did her hair and her nails. She was looking a lot better, they had just given her a bath and, as Sister Dorsey said, "a lube job" so her skin wasn't so dry. She was talking and back to herself again.

I went to see Sister Dorsey today and was glad to see she is doing a little better, although she wasn't talking at all. She just looked at me with big eyes, like she didn't know me. I wonder if she had another stroke, or too much medication? I mentioned to her that one of my friends plans to come and do her hair.

When we went to see Sister Dorsey today, she seemed like she was really on a lot of medication. She said she was in pain and she was really drowsy so we didn't stay long. We prayed and sang for her.

When we visited Sister Willa Dorsey today, she sang my husband's name when she saw him! She sang out, with all that gospel power, his name, even as she lay in the bed. They have been friends for at least 25 years. We sang Christmas carols and had prayer together. I only hope she knows how much we love her. She has had such a huge impact on my life!

This month I am beginning to proofread and edit "The Red Cloak." I hope to get "Nightmares of Murder" published to be available for purchase by Christmas!
